The Pennsylvania Cattlewomen kicked off the New Year with their Farm Show meeting on Saturday January 8th, 2011. President Ann Nogan ran the meeting after the group attended the Farm Show Opening Ceremonies. Lots of exciting things came out of the committees:
HONE (Health, Outreach, Nutrition and Education), chaired by Genny Christ, had many new events including PCW day at the Beef Council Learning Station at Farm Show on Thursday January 13th, forming a 2011 Field Day committtee, Beef up the Troops event and much more.

Membership and policy committee, chaired by Amy Shollenberger, presented the Round Up Award for the membership drive to President Ann Nogan for her recruitment efforts.
Fundraising committee, chaired by Krisit Rooker, is looking for more members for the committee and is working on some good ideas.
Collegiate Cattlewoman, Allison Bardella (liaison), are selling spices as a fundraiser, gearing up for Meat In Day 2011, sending 4-5 girls to the NCBA convention and also took the "best calves" picture to be submitted for PA.
We were delighted to have Ruby, a cattlewoman from Arkansas as a guest at our meeting and to learn from her as to what other cattlewomen are up to across the nation.
Next membership meeting will be at Beef Expo in State Collge on Saturday March 26th, 2011 at 10:00am.
